May 26 10 Amazon Outdoor Family Must-Haves!

Hey there, beautiful friends! My family of four (plus one on the way!) have been adventuring out into nature almost every beautiful day these past few months! I've noticed a pattern of bringing the same 10 items with us everywhere we go, all of which are definitely worth raving about! Today, I'm excited to share my top 10 Amazon must-haves for our family when spending time outdoors!

1. WoneNice Sand Free Beach Mat

This large mat serves as a "quick dry" beach mat over sand, or other soft surfaces because it's very thin. I wouldn't choose this mat for over rocky, sharp surfaces because there's no padding. It conveniently folds up SMALL into it’s attached bag, about the size of a softball, and is extremely light weight which is it’s biggest perk! My husband and I’ve also successfully used it as a source of shade for our kids simply by hanging it over a tree branch and securing it into the ground! (It has loops at each corner, and comes with pegs which allows it to be secured into the sand or ground.) This convenient, multipurpose, colorful mat is easy to spot, and we bring it everywhere!!!

2. Vintage 115m (Black w/ strap) Baby or Toddler Sunglasses

These affordable sunglasses are so perfect for my 3 year old that we even snagged a pair for my 1 year old! They fit comfortably, and come with a strap that secures easily around their heads so that they can each enjoy the shade instead of messing with the straps! Watching your kids actually wear sunglasses instead of ripping them off their faces every two seconds has been a huge game changer!

3. UBFEN Water Shoes for Men and Women

These water shoes are a definite favorite of ours because they’re SO comfortable! I have a wide foot, and for once my toes aren’t squished! I LOVE that these water shoes literally fit your foot like a glove (just get the correct size), and allow you the comfort during hikes whether on land or water. My hubby and I wore these on a trail in it’s entirety with no discomfort, and it saved us having to bring our sneakers which was one less thing to carry!

4. Sonder Leather Multipurpose Mat

This leather mat is so large, trendy and sturdy! Other brands will easily run you over $100, so we were pleased to find this more affordable option! Whereas the previous beach mat I spoke of is great for the beach, or grass, this mat is perfect to place on either, as well as rockier surfaces because the leather protects your bum and adds a bit of padding! This leather mat rolls up tight and has a convenient strap to wear over your shoulder, across your chest, or backpack style! We carry, or attach it to the bottom of our backpack, and we love how it fits our whole family of four, (soon to be five) really well!! (We got the 80x80).

5. Outdoor Master Pop-Up (3-4 person)

With little kids and harsh sun, this shaded pop up tent has been a lifesaver!! This could work on the beach, woods, park, wherever!! We ordered and tried many types of these shaded tents, but what we loved about this one is the front flap securely zippers (others only had velcro which we figured would wear out or blow open over time). We thought this added feature would be extremely convenient when needing privacy for nursing, napping, or as a changing room! It not only provides incredible shade and privacy, but it has mesh windows that allow you to see out, or can be put up for more coverage. It is so easy to set up and take down that I could literally do it by myself if I wanted!!

6. i play. by Green Sprouts Toddler Hat

These hats have saved my children so many sun burns that we've already bought one for the baby in my belly, haha!! They not only provide frontal and side protection from the sun, but back of the neck protection which is a place us moms often forget to apply sunscreen. It has a neck strap that provides secure wear, and both my one and three year old wear it without fail, or attempt to remove it! It also has a tighten option for those hats that are obnoxiously loose on the head portion so you can adjust it as they grow!

7. ToySmith Kids 3 Piece Garden Set

What an adorable and fun three piece garden set for kids! Although this can be used specifically for a garden, my son carries these tools at all times in his backpack because you never know when you may want to dig, shovel, and scoop dirt, sand, or rocks! They’re relatively light-weight, but GREAT quality, as in they truly work. I don't see these bad boys breaking anytime soon. Real wood and screws, they are heavy duty! Unfortunately, ToySmith is currently sold out, but I found similar affordable ones with great reviews below!

8. Mountaintop Kids Backpack

My hubby is a “backpack guy!” :-) If he was an emoji, he'd be wearing a backpack at all times, haha! It was a must to get my son this adorable and rugged outdoor backpack for his 3rd birthday! It even has adjustable, padded straps and a chest strap buckle to keep it secure in place. This backpack has two zipper compartments, and it’s material works great for easy clean! My son insists on wearing it himself on trails and hikes leading us to believe he must find it comfortable!! It's been a great tool to teach him responsibility, as he is responsible for carrying his toys, and water bottles for both him and his sister on it’s outer bottle holders. This backpack was so worth the buy!

9. CIOR Boys and Girls Water Shoes

My 3 year old son was so excited to receive these colorful and fun water shoes (comes in many colors-we have red) after seeing mom and dad rock theirs. He’s also worn these on trails that require walking on land and through rivers. Prior to buying these shoes he wanted to be held walking through these rivers, but once he put these shoes on, he insisted on holding mom and dad’s hands to walk through the rivers himself!! Very impressive, and he never once has complained about pain, or discomfort from them. It's pretty convenient to know he won't step on glass, or sharp rocks while playing at the beach, lakes, or woody creeks!

10. Carabiners

These tiny, heavy duty clips come with us EVERYWHERE! They are essential to our outdoor life with our family, and we use them to attach everything we carry so that we can be hands free! If you’ve never tried these, now is your time! I couldn’t leave these out because of just how easy they make our outdoor life!
