I’m Pregnant with Baby #3 + How I Found Out!!
Hello my beautiful friends! I have an exciting announcement to share with you all, and I'm sure by the title you’ve already figured it out. :-) I'm pregnant with baby number 3!! My family and I feel tremendously blessed, and we can’t wait for his or her arrival at the end of October!!! I'm so excited to share my pregnancy journey with you all, not only on this platform, but on my Instagram and YouTube channel as well :-) In fact, I just shared My First Trimester Pregnancy Update + Belly Shot that you can view on my YouTube video here!
Today, I wanted to announce my pregnancy here on my blog, and share how I found out for an intimate touch! It means so much to me that you’re following my journey in motherhood as I use my experiences to help and benefit others along the way. :-) Enjoy!
“Aunt Flo” had already visited me once since having my daughter, and I suspected I might be pregnant a few days before she would’ve visited again! I took a test, but got hit with a nasty negative! A few days later, I snuck away from my little family to hide in my bathroom and test again, and BAM...TWO LINES! (Our son would be turning 3 in a few months, and our daughter was about to turn 1!) We always wanted kids close together so this was very exciting news!
My husband was in the kitchen helping to get breakfast ready for the kids. I knew that with our little ones locked in their seats, this was the perfect opportunity to get him to unexpectedly jet into our bathroom where both me and the positive test were! I put on my acting voice, and frantically shouted, “BABE!!! The pipe under the sink is leaking, I can't stop it!!! Grab a bucket and get here FAST!!!!” I heard him yell back in concerned haste, “OKAY, BE RIGHT THERE!” I giggled at the thought and sound of my sweet, oblivious husband frantically searching for a bucket to grab, and rushing to “my rescue”…but I knew it'd be worth it! ;-)
I placed my phone recording in the corner of the sink, and backed up to let it catch his reaction with the positive test face-up on the counter. He rushed in, opened the bottom cabinet to desperately search for the leak, his eyes made contact, and I knew he found the test!! I naturally followed his lead as we both broke down laughing, giggling, and hugging with the reality of this new baby! It was a moment to remember, and a memory between us that I could never forget!
It was a little too early for us to feel comfortable enough to tell our kids, (I was only about 4 weeks, or so then, and we still actually haven’t told them just yet!) so we spoke a prayer of gratitude to God (Yahweh), and nonchalantly re-entered the kitchen without a word, but with HUGE smiles on the both of our faces!! :-) :-)
I hope you enjoyed this little inside look at my husband and I discovering my pregnancy!! We’re so thankful to the Father for His plan and timing for the growth of our family. We trust Him in every step of this pregnancy, even having experienced miscarriage ourselves, which He so gently carried us out of. The truth is, the Father gives good gifts, and He works all things for good for those who love Him, and are called according to His purpose. (Rom 8:28) No matter what state of life, blessing, struggle, or loss you’re in, I hope you know how loved, how seen, and how purposeful you are to Him.
